Our Story
Born from Experience. Built for the People.
Florida Prison Reform was born from Pastor Pete’s personal experience and firsthand observation of the Florida Judicial System – and his firm belief that injustice can be transformed into purpose through unity, education, and organized action.
The movement traces back to Pastor Pete’s experiences that led him to begin deeply researching constitutional law, citizen initiatives, sentencing policy, and the power of organized people working together toward reform.
After being falsely accused and wrongfully convicted by the system, he was determined to understand not only how the system operated, but how ordinary citizens could legally challenge and reform it through the constitutional petition process.
During that time, he published “We The People Power,” through Amazon – a work centered on the idea that citizens possess far more political influence than most people realize, when they become organized, informed, and united behind a common cause.

From Idea to Action
A Focused Strategy for Florida
The original concepts proposed in the book were broad and ambitious. After discussions with attorneys, legal researchers, and certain Florida Cares supporters, it became clear that meaningful reform would require a more focused and strategic constitutional approach capable of surviving legal review and reaching the Florida ballot.
Those conversations ultimately helped inspire the formation of Florida Prison Reform and the drafting of two proposed constitutional amendments focused on sentence review and parole review reform.
